Operation Transformation Aughnamullen Lights Up

Its time to make a healthy start to the New Year. Aughnamullen Lights Up this Thursday night at 7pm for our Operation Transformation Walk/Jog. All members of our community regardless of age or fitness levels are invited to come along and enjoy a walk at your own pace on our floodlit track. While Thursday nights are the designated nights participants are encouraged to use the facility on at least one other night of the week. Please comply with Covid regulations

Lotto: Due to the current covid situation the lotto won’t return until the weekend of the 30th of January with a jackpot of €9,500. You can purchase tickets either by buying envelopes from one of our young sellers or by logging on to our online Smart Lotto page using the following link https://t.co/oUNyNiKID8?amp=1

Club Membership: Club membership for 2022 can now be paid. The rates for the year are as follows;

Adult (Non Player) Family – Maximum of 2 Adults €55

Social Membership: €25 or €50 per family ( Maximum of 2 Adults). This covers use of the Walking Track throughout the year and other Social Activities. If anyone wants to join just put your money into an envelope at the Social Centre or you can pay online.

Juvenile Membership: This covers any child up to Under 17 €25 per child

Membership can be paid through any committee member.

Social Centre: The opening hours for the Social Centre over the month of January are as follows;

Thursdays & Fridays – 5.30-8pm

Saturdays – 4-8pm

Sundays- 2-8pm

Food is now being served again in the Social Centre every Sunday from 4pm. For any details in relation to Booking of Hall for Food or Meetings or any other events please contact Tina on 0873332213 or club Chairman Paddy on 0876839256.

Ladies: We held our AGM on Friday the 7th of January on Microsoft Teams. We would like to thank those who attended.

Yvonne Lennon stepped down as chairperson and Angie Duffy stepped down from Child Liaison Officer. We would like to thank the ladies for their hard work.

Elected committee for 2022:

Secretary- Elma Forde

Vice Secretary- Megan Hannaway

Treasurer- Laura Quinn

Vice Treasurer- Bronagh Sheridan

Children’s protection officer- Aoife Duffy

Children’s Liaison Officer- Bea McArdle

PRO- Megan Hannaway

The following positions need to be filled- chairperson, management and delegates.

We are seeking a new chairperson for 2022. Don’t be put off by the title, the workload is split between everyone on the committee. This position needs to be filled urgently.

We are also looking for management for the following age groups: u14, U16, minor, and senior.As competition season is just around the corner we need these roles filled ASAP.

If anyone would like to join to committee as a representative for the delegate meetings.

Sympathy: Sympathy is extended to Kieran and Eileen McGee and family on the passing of Kieran’s sister, Rosemary. May God have mercy on her soul.

Pitch closed: Please note due to recent resodding works on our main pitch it will remain closed to all groups and individuals until further notice..

Astro pitch: Our new state of the art astro pitch is open and available for booking. Contact Angela on 0861012243 to book the pitch.

Christmas draw: The Aughnamullen Christmas draw will now place on on Saturday the 29th of January.

Help needed: The club are seeking a volunteer to carry out work as a caretaker around the club. This job would consist of 6-10 hours a week. If interested in the job, contact Paddy on 0876839256 for more information.
